Shrimp’s Big Deal (cont’d)

American Wild Caught shrimps are naturally filled with nutrients from the ocean providing them with a better taste, better texture, and better quality than farm raised shrimps. They are free from chemicals, antibiotics, pesticides, toxins and harsh overcrowding conditions.

Shrimps are caught in the US with the use of Trawling nets. These nets drag at the bottom of the ocean without damaging the ocean floor and have a by-catch at the end of the net. This additional measure provides an exit for sea turtles, dolphins, and sharks that are accidentally caught in the net. Louisiana is the only state that doesn’t implement this by-catch with their trawling nets.

So when I hear a question like “what’s the big deal, a shrimp is a shrimp”, I realize how much information isn’t told to Americans on what they consume.  Due to the high demand for shrimp’s from Americans, most shrimp’s are imported from these unsanitary farms and Americans health problems are continuing to rise.

The next time you eat shrimp, I’ll recommend Alexandra’s Wild Caught American Shrimp and stay away from farm raised shrimps.
