Our Story

Let’s get to know the Papajohn’s. Growing up in the streets of New York City, my grandfather, John, became a fish dealer at an early age. The sea was his first love. He made sure that his four sons inherited his passion and that his oceanic legacy lived on when he passed. Each son became a part of the seafood industry in their own way. My Uncle John is an international swordfish and scallop broker. My Uncle Alexander is your local fish distributor. My Uncle Michael is a commercial tuna fisherman. Lastly, my father, Nick, is a federal fish broker who spent most of his life raising awareness about the benefits and superior qualities of all-American, wild-caught seafood within retail establishments and the foodservice industry. My infatuation with the sea stems from a long line of perseverance and devotion.

My admiration for shellfish and seafood is instinctive. I imagine a world where every household is blessed with the opportunity to acquire the same oceanic wonders as I have throughout my life. With the help of my father and his partner Keston Brown Sr., this vision is within reach. In his travels, my father discovered several top processing companies within the United States. This family-owned company has been in business for four generations, a relatable aspect. They take pride in the quality and freshness of their product and processing is completed with diligence. All of their facilities and boats are HACCP certified. The quality of their seafood exceeds expectations and is far more exceptional than any other product we have come across thus far. It was all happening. Our opportunity to bring high-quality, fresh premium seafood to every American table had presented itself.
